Ahh, you're right. I had read that it required Intel, but that was only true for Snow Leopard, plain old Leopard will work on PowerPC's too. As it happens, Apple does not sell plain old Leopard, so if I (or someone in this situation) wanted to go that route, they would have to find a 'used' copy of Leopard.
