Running Linux Mint 8 ran into the same problem.
Including (http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo) helped.
Checked the SDK box and the Plugin box (from Google).

Took a while for everything to install and had to restart eclipse.

Did not have to do this on XP a couple of months ago. Go figure.
