I am a Chrome Extension newbie but a veteran programmer. My understanding is that GWT "compiles out" to Javascript and other elements, not a typical Java JAR or JAR container format. Does this mean that the output of a GWT project can be easily integrated into a Chrome extension? If yes, is it a good idea or are there too many hoops to jump through to make it work well? I'd like to use GWT if I could and take advantage of it's slick UI and other attributes, but I don't know if it is a suitable tool for building Chrome extensions.
