We recently added a maven dependency to gwt-servlet and cleaned-up the POM somewhat (thanks to Yannis Gonianakis) which made it possible to run "as web application" simple projects that do not have a server-side component.
For my projects with a GAE component, the "Launch and Deploy from this Directory" was unchecked. I tried checking it but keep on getting the following error: [WARN] Error starting handlers java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/inject/servlet/GuiceServletContextListener Thanks a lot for taking the time to look into this Rajeev, much appreciated.
