Including the 2 depenencies without a validation provider doesn't seem right. You also need a provider, otherwise: javax.validation.ValidationException: Unable to find a default provider. Any ideas on how to solve this? (besides actually including a provider just to be able to run gwt). Thanks. Eugen.
