A "web API" (similar to Twitter's API, GData API, etc.) that's clearly and 
entirely specified so you can build upon it in whichever 
language/environment you want (you "just" have to implement the specs).
RequestFactory is not formally specified, so you always run the risk that it 
changes in a future release of GWT (it's unlikely, but still)
