with ------------------------------------ Context2d ctx = cvs.getContext2d(); int w = cvs.getCoordinateSpaceWidth(); int h = cvs.getCoordinateSpaceHeight(); ------------------------------------ vw.getCvs() always creates a new instance which you don't want to do.
