It sounds like you are using an ancient version of GWT Designer (pre-Google), so you should uninstall that version and then re-install the current version<http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/tools/download-gwtdesigner-beta.html>(use the Eclipse 3.5 build). It is free and does not require a license.
