I tested highcharts static and dynamic performance. See discussion about this on highcharts chat board here http://highslide.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12936 They had issues on Safari and IE in realtime mode when number of points more 4000. It was related to mouse tracking and tooltips. Here is a reference to my original test application http://jsfiddle.net/sarmishev/HNtM6/2/ and modified without mouse tracking http://jsfiddle.net/r7V5G/ . The had new releases and hope fixed the issues. I definitely can recommend highcharts or stockcharts that I like better. Those widgets written in javascript but have GWT wrappers.
