The way I accomplish this is with a AbstractCell built from a
SafeHtmlTemplate that sinks the click event.
Have a template the feeds into the cell, the code will resemble something
like:

@SafeHtmlTemplates.Template("" +
"<div>" +
"<img src='IMAGE'/>" +
