I haven't seen the remote -> localhost redirection
issue before.  Is it possible you have a setting that
is too restrictive in Internet Options
(or your system's equivalent)?

If all else fails, you can register your test
domain(s) for /h9 (form you pointed out).

NonAuthSubToken error can occur when trying to upgrade the single use
token more than once.  It could also be the case that the token isn't
being extracted from the URL correctly. What library are you using?
