Hello, and welcome to the Health developer forums! A lot of great questions; thanks for posting them. I'll do my best to answer them all, but if you find that you'd like more detail or clarification on any answer, certainly don't hesitate to ask!
1. Unlinking "a. What is the user experience on Google Health?" There's a brief description of the unlinking process at the following address: http://www.google.com/support/health/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96522 It's a multi-step process, which should make it clear to the user which service they are unlinking. If a user clicks "unlink accounts" in the profile settings, they are asked to confirm that they do indeed want to sever the connection. "b. How are we notified that a user has unlinked his/her account if it is initiated at Google? If a user unlinks a service in Health, the authentication token that the client application uses to connect to a user's profile is invalidated. The next time the client application attempts to use the token while making a request, an authentication error will be returned. The user will need to re-link the accounts in order for the client application to get a new, valid authentication token. One important note concerning unlinking: You should allow users to unlink their accounts on your site as well. If a user chooses to unlink their account from your site, it's preferred if you send a notification to their profile concerning the de-linking before the accounts are unlinked. After the notification is sent, you can follow the procedure at the URL below, which will remove the link from the user's Health profile. After the unlinking has occurred, you can remove the AuthSub session token for the user from your database. http://code.google.com/apis/accounts/docs/AuthSub.html#AuthSubRevokeToken 2. Footer "a. Is the footer in the CCR optional? " The CCR footer elements (Actors, Comments, Signatures, References) are optional and will be ignored when data is imported. "b. In the <CodingSystem> field (in the hierarchy / ContinuityOfCareRecord/Actors/Actor/Person/Gender), the example shows “SNOMED”. However, in other areas of the Google documentation, I see this coding system referred to as “SNOMEDCT”. Which value should we use?" Our documentation could certainly use a little help here; thanks for pointing out the inconsistencies. Codes with SNOMED as the CodingSystem are returned in VitalSigns and FunctionalStatus CCR sections; however, theses sections are read- only. Otherwise, Health has limited support for SNOMED, and I believe that references to SNOMEDCT in the documentation are generally used to show equivalent SNOMED CT code, not which codes Health supports. I'm working verify this, and will let you know if what I find differs from what I mentioned here. There's a bit more information about SNOMED support in Health in the following thread; although, SNOMEDCT is used in the thread. The important point of this thread is that Health will not reject data sent with SNOMED codes. The codes will be stored even though Health doesn't recognize them. http://groups.google.com/group/googlehealthdevelopers/browse_thread/thread/521db8576cce4def 3. Functional Status "a. The description in the Google documentation is, “Google used the <Function> element to indicate whether the user has specified she is pregnant, or breastfeeding.” i. Is this field intended to be used exclusively for communicating pregnant or breastfeeding? Or, is this just an example of the type of information that might be communicated in this field?" Currently, breast feeding and pregnancy statuses are the only CCR Functions that Health returns. As I previously mentioned, the FunctionalStatus CCR section is currently read-only. "ii. Where on the Google UI is this displayed?" Breast feeding and pregnancy are currently displayed in the UI in the "Age, sex, height..." section, but only if "Female" is selected for sex. Thanks again for the excellent questions! Cheers! Paul On May 19, 9:49 am, DraperB <[email protected]> wrote: > 1. Unlinking > a. What is the user experience on Google Health? > b.
