Welcome Lewis, As it is customary in many other Apache projects, the first commit you should do is to add your name to the credits page[1]. To do that you have to checkout the site documentation, which resides in [2]. Then, you run ant docs, which should compile the docs, then commit the changes. The last step is to log in to people.apache.org and cd /www/incubator.apache.org/gora and do an svn up.
