Post your suggestions here, however small they are. Here is my list: #: Deter from Ubuntu/Gnome standards (i.e settings, applications, etc) 1: Remove the dependencies of gnomes media players (as they don't function properly with all media (online that is, which is what this distro's focus is). 2: Change "Wheel" settings to allow more smoother transitions between administrative tasks 3: Include 4 different themes, all with their own color-scheme (meaning not all green) #: Post-install suggestions 1: Do not install browser, mail, media, or gaming applications 2: While in post-install allow choosing of which browser, mail, media, or game programs is going to be installed 3: setup "Special folders" (like music folders, picture folders, etc).
And now for an idea that might be stretching it to far: #: Allow users to surf the web through GDM using Prism (alternative to "Guest Account") 1: Create a hosts list of what sites are safe to surf on when in GDM 2: Log all gust logons, sites visited, and attempted downloads 3: Make a portal which fetches news from RSS feeds (using "Chrome") Well there's my list. That last one might be a bit far fetched as it requires changing the overall code of GDM it self. But it would still be a cool addition to Linux --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gOS Linux" group.
