No, we haven't heard anything back from PCORI on our de-identification plan
(nor on any other milestone we have submitted, as far as I know).

My understanding is: no news is good news.

#1) I believe we have had a couple of sites express interest in approaches for
matching patients across sites. If you are interested in participating in that
discussion, please let me know and I will forward your information on.

#2 & #3) are related to de-identification and date shifting. For the GPC,
those issues are addressed by our de-identificaiton plan that we submitted a
while back. Was it approved or commented on by anyone at PCORI? Perhaps we
should propose that it be used as a base for a PCORnet de-identification
recommendation. The main changes being that it should address the PCORnet CDM,
not i2b2.

You may be interested to know that their will be a new PCORI PopMedNet DataMart
Client in late fall. It will allow for a menu driven query update sometime in
the winter.

CDM 2.0 will include the ability to add some Patient Reported Outcomes data.
The disease teams may want to look at the recommended questions PRO Common
Measures Working Group
Recommendations<https://pcornet.centraldesktop.com/taskforces/file/35022597/>.

I just want to make sure that you all see this as I know your DSSNI TF rep is
someone else, in most cases, and we have been discussing some of these topics
in other threads.

Subject: PCORnet: DSSNI TF - CDRN Member Meeting Materials (Oct 7, 2014)

Dear DSSNI TF – CDRN Members,

Thank you for your participation during yesterday’s DSSNI TF Meeting. Below is
a link to the meeting materials posted on Central Desktop:

https://pcornet.centraldesktop.com/p/ZgAAAAAAQGlr

Based upon discussions during the “Open Forum” of yesterday’s call, we’re
working on a strategy to help facilitate further discussions and knowledge
sharing in the following areas:

1. Approaches for patient matching across organizations (Jon Puro request)

2. Systematic mapping of policies for re-identification for patient
contact and data sharing (Daniella Meeker request)

3. Date shifting (Charlie Bailey request)

Please let me know if you have interest in learning more, sharing your own
experiences, or sharing relevant materials in any of these 3 areas.

Thanks,
Jenny
