Marshfield hasn’t had a use case to load insurance coverage into i2b2. Are there definitions to align insurance carriers with the categories listed by Alex? Dan alludes to this being part of visit details. That’s a cleaner approach than trying to establish eligibility windows, which is what we do with other collaborations, like the HCSRN (Health Care Systems Research Network, previously HMORN).
Because we’re not participating in NEXT-D, Marshfield has tabled work with geocode data. We’re assisting to integrate geocoding data into our main data warehouse. Once available, we’ll build out our ETL to populate i2b2 following whatever standard GPC establishes.
