To get an idea of what is possible, have a look at the curiously named example 
here: http://www.fckeditor.net/demo/ - ignore how slow it is to load - that's 
just because it is hosted on the notoriously slow and overburdened SourceForge 
servers somewhere in the US.  But once it has loaded, it seems very responsive 
to me. I wonder how hard it would be to remove some of its unecessary features 
and replace them with autocompletion etc?
