I always wondered how GPs decided who to refer to ...
As I thought, not based on evidence based medicine, good service to
patients, appropriate investigations, not overservicing. I must check
with those other specialists in my area in sydney who dont qualify for
any of the above .. perhaps they are using Argus ...
btw . the group of 30 specialists that I represent are going to be using
a paid service starting in February.

There are many communities of specialists and GPs across the country.
Which one are you referring to?
Central Coast Division are working hard on this in their area. Good on
them. Impact in Greater Sydney? Zero.

I'm referring to bigger places like Melb/Sydney where there's a fairly
open referral 'market': there's usually several specialists in every specialty,
even derm.
My point is if I had one in a given catgeory who used Argus, they'd be getting
all my referrals.
And if they used Healthlink, zero ;-)
