In many ways we are in the situation that pertained in the early days of the motor car, when each maker had completely different types and positions for controls for gear changes, braking, etc. Now all cars are the same, except for minor things like switch positions, etc. Greg -- Greg Twyford Information Management & Technology Program Officer Canterbury Division of General Practice E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ph.: 02 9787 9033 Fax: 02 9787 9200 **************************************************************************** ***************************** Greg I disagree that switch positions in cars are minor. To switch on the indicator & the wipers go on because some European cars has wipers other side of steering wheel is dangerous. Drivers get such a fright they grab here, there everywhere to switch it off etc. they nearly cause accidents. How often o you drive behind sdomebody and the rear wiper is on - only because driver can't find the off switch - was accidentally switched on. Because the driver gets upset, this may increase accident rate due to driver irritation.
