It's done.
We had to churn the ADSL to get all the ports open, despite promises.
Then ArgusConnect organised the PKI Location certificate, I installed the
Linux version Sunday and got stopped at the point at which I had to
ArgusConnect; found on restarting the process that I had problems with the
PATH setup to find the Java, but everything else happened easily enough.
Automation follows tomorrow ( available in a newer version, but less trouble
for me to organise the cronjob).
And it was FREE - I was ready to pay the bill for this.
Although Horst did promise me the python scripts I wanted to go for the full
version, as I have two specialists emailing stuff unencrypted, and now I've
got Argus sorted out I will pressure other senders for the same sort of
service, so we can have a single download client picking up lots of stuff.

Economies of scale:
The notion that bigger is better. In particular, that if you want
a certain amount of computer power, it is much better to buy one
biggie than a bunch of smallies. Accepted as an article of faith
by people who love big machines and all that complexity. Rejected
as an article of faith by those who love small machines and all
        those limitations.
