Making it cross-browser including IE would have almost doubled the development 
cost. Thus my specs require perfect function under current Firefox versions 
on all platforms, and make further cross-browser compatibility a desirable 
option

I don't give a shit for MSIE compatibility - horrible browser, buggy, 
insecure, and - the worst: non-compliant with many CSS standards

All that said, the current lead developer seems to still want to tackle MSIE 
as deliverable
