The PGPTools installer makes a small modification to your configuration
file, which adds the Comment you have quoted. The version information,
on the other hand, is put in there by default. Both can be removed by
editing the following file (with a plain text editor):

~/.gnupg/gpg.conf

Find the line (probably at the bottom) that reads something like:

comment "GPGTools - http://gpgtools.org";

..and delete it. Then add a line that reads:

no-emit-version

...and that should do it!
