They still have no public API developers can use to develop plugins.
I guess that's the reason why they don't enable them. Plugins
might make Mail.app very unstable, and it wouldn't look good for Apple
if that happened.

Are you sure is was enabled by default in previous versions? I thought not.

Have fun with the alpha version, but again, it's gonna break things ;-)
