Summary: Adding subscriptions could be made more intuitive
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 0.10.4
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: medium
         Component: Application
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
   Estimated Hours: 0.0

I think the first contact with gPodder could be made more intuitive for the
first time user.

First of all gPodder uses the word "channel" for what most web sites would call
a podcast. This difference introduces a degree of confusion for the first time
user.

Second of all the way to add podcasts isn't made very clear from the UI. There
isn't any label on the text field that indicates you should enter a URL. The
Add button is grayed out. So there are no strong visual clues to get the first
time user going.

So, I would suggest:
- removing the word channel and replacing with Podcast
- replacing "text field and + Add button" by an "Add..." button which would
open a dialog.
