Summary: RSS feed fails to load - reported as not an XML type
Product: gPodder
Version: 0.11.3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: high
Component: Maemo
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Estimated Hours: 0.0
I'm attempting to add a paid-for RSS podcast feed from Air America's paid-for
podcasts which had been working with previous versions of gPodder until the one
I am currently using (0.11.3-maemo0), but now fails and reports that the feed
is not an XML type.
Note: If you wish to follow my steps to recreate the bug yourself, you can add
the feed without paying--but you won't be able to go farther along to download
episodes without a paid subscription to their service.
Steps to recreate:
1. Launch gPodder
2. Press MENU key (drop down menu)
3. Tap 'Subscriptions' menu item
4. Tap 'Subscribe to new podcast'
5. At the URL prompt, enter 'http://airamerica.com/ondemand/podcast/6618/full'
6. The response is an information dialog box (instead of an error?) reading:
(i) 'The podcast could not be added. Please check the spelling of the URL or
try again later.' [ OK ]
It should have added this podcast as it has in the past and has successfully
added many other podcasts.
Here's the full output of calling the program from the command line and, at the
very end, my attempt to add the feed:
