Thank you for the workaround - this worked fine, and changed the folder.

Using the -v > log.txt showed the following error:

[ 515.519] Moving downloads from /home/ad/Desktop to /media/disk/Podcasts
[ 515.521] Error while moving /home/ad/Desktop to /media/disk/Podcasts: [Errno
17] File exists: '/media/disk/Podcasts'
[ 517.624] Moving downloads from /home/ad/Desktop to /media/disk/Podcasts
[ 517.625] Error while moving /home/ad/Desktop to /media/disk/Podcasts: [Errno
17] File exists: '/media/disk/Podcasts'

It appears the issue may be that the folder was non-empty. It would make sense
if this error was captured and the user alerted to this fact, so they could
choose a non-empty folder, or perhaps agree to using the folder regardless.

On re-testing this and choosing a new, empty folder on the SD card, I found the
move worked, but moved the *entire* contents of the original folder onto the SD
card, not just the podcasts. The original folder was my desktop, so
*everything* on my desktop was moved to the SD card. I think the software
should only move the podcast directories that it has created, if possible,
leaving other files intact in the original location. Also, as mentioned above,
it should warn when choosing a folder that already contains files. I choose the
directory where I keep all my existing podcasts (from Amarok), to keep them in
the same place - this is probably a common user action.

Thanks for the quick response - keep up the great work - your software is the
only one I have kept after trying around 6 different podcast downloaders :)
