Summary: Custom filename when syncing to device
Product: gPodder
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: feature request
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
When syncing the downloaded files to a device and a custom filename is chosen,
would it be possible to have the tag {episode.published} be extended to include
the published time as well as the date? Or if a new tag is actually a better
idea, that would be just fine for me.
I like to watch or listen to my downloaded podcasts in the order they were
published, especially if it's the more news-oriented podcasts and longer ones
that have been split into shorter segments, but the basename and title aren't
always indicative of the time or even the date.
I use gpodder on my Ubuntu file server and my "device" is just a Samba-exported
directory and I listen to or watch the podcasts on Windows with WinAmp or my
PVR software. Having both the date and time in the filename would make it much
easier to queue up file for play in proper order.
