Summary: Cannot select directory for OPML and logs to be
                    stored.
           Product: gPodder
           Version: 0.12.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: feature request
          Priority: low
         Component: Application
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

If I could manually select a directory for gPodder's logs etc. then I could use
a folder that was synchronized to another computer, or "the clowd," effectively
making gPodder a portable application.

For instance, I have DropBox installed on several computers. Anything in
/home/username/dropbox on any one of my machines is automagically synchronized
to all of the others as well. So if gPodder was made to look in the DropBox for
it's list of podcasts, and would update that list, all of my installations of
gPodder would know, at the same time, what needed to be downloaded.

I can already cause gPodder to download podcasts to such a directory, which
solves half the problem, but if I install gpodder on another computer, each
will attempt to duplicate the efforts of the other.

Similarly, If gPodder were coded to store it's logs in the same "download
directory" selected by the user, I think the result would be mostly the same
but with slightly less granular control. Maybe even easier for the end user.

Thanks again for the wonderful program!
