Synchronisation will happen for reads, not for reads. This ensures, that the
server does not need to know which subscriptions a Simple API client already
knows, e.g.

Clients C, D in one sync group
Client C adds subscription for podcast P
With sync-on-write, P is added to client D
Client D is not yet subscribed to P, but sends his own subscription list
without first getting the list from the server
With sync-on-write, D's list would not contain P, which would them be removed
from D and and C subsequently.

To circumvent such situations, syncing is only done when querying the
subscription list.
