--- Comment #2 from Shane Kerr <[email protected]> 2010-01-23 12:20:13 GMT --- I've hacked gpodder on my Nokia N900 with the attached patch, which resolves the issue. It's not especially elegant, but it seems to work. Basically, if the re-name of the temporary to the final name fails, we remove VFAT-unfriendly characters and try again. This is only done the problem with the rename is an invalid name, otherwise the original exception is re-raised. If the problem *is* an invalid name, but the reason is *not* this VFAT issue, it may be slightly annoying because VFAT-unfriendly characters are removed from the filename, including in the SQLite database, so it will always have the modified filename, even if the the problem is fixed. It is probably possible to work around this, but I decided not to bother. Everything will work fine, just with a slightly modified name. For example, '"New World" Symphony.mpg' will become 'New World Symphony.mpg' - without the quotation marks in the file name. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
