PC running: openSUSE 11.2 64bit KDE 4.3.4 "release 2" gpodder 2.1 (gpodder-2.1-0.pm.1.1.src.rpm from Packman repository) MTP device: Creative Zen Touch 20GB, firmware 2.11.01 Installed packages from : mtp-tools (1.0.2-2.1) - obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE mtpfs (0.9-0.pm.1.1) - http://packman.links2linux.de libmtp8 (1.0.2-2.1) - obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE python-pymad (0.6-0.pm.1.1) - http://packman.links2linux.de python-imaging (1.1.6-214.1) - openSUSE python (2.6.2-6.3) - openSUSE Downloaded pymtp 0.0.4 from http://downloads.nick125.com/projects/pymtp/pymtp-latest.tar.bz2 Followed README and ended up with pymtp.py and pymtp.pyc in /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/. Moved these to correct location /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gpodder When I try right clicking on a podcast to transfer to MTP device, gpodder hangs, then after 50 seconds closes. Running gpodder --verbose gives: [ 78.969] (MTPDevice) opening the MTP device libusb couldn't open USB device /dev/bus/usb/001/004: Permission denied. libusb requires write access to USB device nodes. libusb couldn't open USB device /dev/bus/usb/002/002: Permission denied. libusb requires write access to USB device nodes. Have tried the above attachment of pymtp.py and get the same result. mtp-detect works fine after 30 seconds. Can transfer individual files okay by mounting the drive and copying using CLI. Problem appears to be with pymtp.py. Is there a script which works with the above install? (Read about Debian issues with libmtp8) Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.gpodder.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ gPodder-Bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/gpodder-bugs
