Bug #: 1309
Summary: parsing feeds without guid-tags in the episodes failes
Classification: Unclassified
Product: gPodder
Version: 2.13+ (Git "master" branch)
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: low
Component: Application
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
problem:
Some feeds just seem to be empty if you try to download them using gpodder.
This seems to be due to the missing guid-tag in the xml... BUT: If the local
database for gpodder was created using an older version gpodder doesn't seem to
bother about the missing guid tag in the episodes.
steps to reproduce:
* delete folder /home/user/.config/gpodder
* run gpodder -v
* subscribe to a feed which doesn't have guid tags in its episodes; i.e. to
http://www.mindcrushers.de/podcast/mcs-phantasticfiction.xml
You will get error messages for every episode of the feed looking like
this:
[ 664.094] (Database) Refusing to save an episode without guid:
<gpodder.model.PodcastEpisode object at 0x3437e90>
I think this might have something to do why gpodder doesn't find any
episodes.
