"Perceived?"  Either you can prove it or not.

Not exactly what I said.  If you are going to call it a Garmin Fix, then
yes, a real regression is needed.

But, if the fix fixes something else, then that needs to be stated and
proven.  Not simplye "perceived".

Long standing policy, gpsd does not take patches based on unvalidated
emulators.  I have suggested instead that the Garmin TXT driver be
removed as it never seems to have been used and is not long obsolete.
