Here is the correct link to the evaluation board, and yes the evaluation board is USB ( there is a USB to UART converter on the board but the module is UART).

There is is only D+/D- on USB as far as I know so how would 1PPS get to the computer?


If the PPS is wired to the DCD pin it permits the USB serial chip to notify the kernel and then it seeps up. Not as good as proper serial PPS, but better than in-band-timing.


Do you mean the 1PPS is included in a NMEA message?
Or the messages are coming out once per second?
The 1PPS that I know of is a separate GPIO on the module that Pulses once per second.
Where do I look on GPSD to see if it's getting the 1PPS?


If gpsd is receiving something it can interpret as a frequency standard it should emit JSON PPS sentences. These are visible in "gpspipe -w", cgps and some other clients.
