Since I'd like to consider myself as a member of the gPXE development team, I'd like to express my opinion on the developmers' roles:
I have a high degree of respect and faith in Michael Brown's contributions to the code-base to stay aligned with the quality/constraints which I believe we hold dear: Legibility, size, maintainability, consideration for future interoperability, free of regressions. With this in mind, I would continue to enjoy contributions from Michael directly to the main code-base until such a time as I lose that respect/faith or the developers' consensus is to the contrary, or Marty decides absolutely to the contrary. I feel fine about having a non-lead developer role myself, and enjoy the discussions that take place during peer review and prior to merges of my own code, when that happens. I always learn something and often am able to refine, so the quality of my own contributions is hopefully better due to that. Looking forward to continued constructive discussion with all, and continued gPXE awesomeness! - Shao Miller _______________________________________________ gPXE mailing list [email protected] http://etherboot.org/mailman/listinfo/gpxe
