Those consultants in the field who are held in fairly high regard - Brian Madden, Ruben Spruijt, et al would consider it VDI, or part of a VDI solution, certainly. Given that OS streaming is involved, and that OS streaming is mentioned in Ruben's latest "VDI Smackdown!", I would suggest it (VDI) has a place of mention when describing gPXE in a broader sense.
