New question #220436 on Graphite: https://answers.launchpad.net/graphite/+question/220436
Hello, I am new at graphite and working on a project at my school. I am wondering how to change the default configuration in graphite's web app. My idea: lets assume that I want to monitor only one parameter(f.x memory,cpu..) on my server using the web app for a long time and I start collecting the data today. Then I decide to check it out if everything is OK from time to time. I would like to know the behavior of this parameter every few seconds f.x. 3-5 sec. But, this could be a very large amount of data, so, to solve that problem I have to control the load somehow. Let me give you an example: lets say a year from now I would want to see how that parameter behaved to day. The web app would then only show me the data corresponding to a weekly update. Is is possible to design a monitoring system like that using Graphite?. hopefully I explained my idea well enough. -Alex -- You received this question notification because you are a member of graphite-dev, which is an answer contact for Graphite. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~graphite-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~graphite-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
