You should have "whisper tools" in /usr/bin (or other location, depends
to installation).
#> whereis whisper-info.py
whisper-info: /usr/bin/whisper-info.py
Please use whisper-info.py to taka a look into a metric file:
#> whisper-info.py
/opt/graphite/storage/whisper/storage/server/service/metric.wsp
Output should tell you actual metric retention.
I asked about retention period change, because AFAIK whisper doesn't
change actual metric retention after changing config.
