Andy Devlin posted a new comment: To officially change the storage path, you define it in carbon.conf using the LOCAL_DATA_DIR setting. This is the directory where Carbon (the cache) writes .wsp files. The WHISPER_DIR in storage-schemas.conf should then point to this same LOCAL_DATA_DIR to ensure the Whisper reader can find them. Once the new path is configured, you must manually move your existing Whisper database files to the new location for Grafana or your webapp to access the historical data.
