Here are links to an image of the new histogramming tool, profile tool, and 
some eye candy shots to go with it.

This is a Landsat band 742 composite RGB of the Phoenix metro area, draped over 
a 30m SRTM DEM. The histogram is of the corresponding bands 7, 4, and 2. To 
histogram multiple images, you need to put them into an image group. The 
profile is a transect across bands 7, 4, and 2. The update to the profile tool 
lets you select multiple maps to be profiled simultaneously (not limited to 3 
maps like before), though only 3 are shown here.
