It wasn't broken in the first place. A "fix" would be for someone to care about AIX enough to figure out which compiler switches are required to disable the non-standard declarations. Or, conversely, assuming that "gcc -ansi" does that, to figure out which switches are required to re-enable the relevant Unix-specific declarations.
