Brain just saw the Readme part and assumed the wrong one. This one is for packaging, when you build an installer package with make bindist. It will be installed in /Users/Shared. It's an intro to get an end user started after installing a binary distribution. From there they can get to the GRASS site for documentation, mailing list help and wiki.
