Indeed. I guess I could post a fixed release branch instead of RC2 to Mac users 
in that case.

Michael, just to be clear about terminology, once code is tagged as x.y.z, 
x.y.z-RC1 or something like that, the code cannot be changed. In our case, the 
backport goes to a release branch and a new release is tagged.
