#2823: Lack of satellite overpass time in metadata -------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: andbal | Owner: grass-dev@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Website Component: Datasets | Version: unspecified Keywords: | CPU: Unspecified Platform: Unspecified | -------------------------+------------------------- In the North Carolina dataset (''nc_spm_08_grass7''), the metadata file of Landsat images, doesn't contain information about acquisition time of the scene. This information is needed in case someone want to use module like ''i.atcorr'' or ''i.soilheatflux'' on this example dataset.[[BR]]
I think a reasonable overpass time can be obtained from: [http://cloudsgate2.larc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/predict/predict.cgi] giving: * Date of acquisition * Coordinates of the scene center I added an explanation of how to use this method in ''Atmospheric correction'' [https://grasswiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Atmospheric_correction#Estimating_the_overpass_time wiki page], but for the future datasets maybe images with ''full'' metadata is desiderable. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/2823> GRASS GIS <https://grass.osgeo.org> _______________________________________________ grass-dev mailing list grass-dev@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-dev
