Thank you for the suggestion. I wanted to do it and I am glad that you propose it.

It will make the life easier for the students and the non GIS users and it will help to promote GRASS for hydrology and river analysis. The installation of addons is problematic for students in my classes. Probbably we will need to identify the addons necessary for hydrology.

One other possibility is to package groups of addons by interest.

I was wondering if it might be time to move the r.stream family of modules from addons to core? Perhaps for the GRASS 8 release? They are an important part of GRASS's hydrology tools. While r.stream.extract is already a core module, others like r.stream.distance are still addons. Why keep so much potential hidden in addons? Do some of the modules need work? On a side note, only core modules show up as QGIS processing algorithms. Just a thought.
