the S8, MFD(8), and Dinf are all ways to get flow accumulation. What are the units? Grid accumulation? So if I were to multiply a flow accumulation by the squared resolution of the raster input map (50x50=2500m). I would get flow accumulation in squared meters and then multiply by average areal runoff from USGS data in m/s for the HUC areas that the project area resides. This would give me cubic meters per second. I can then set some threshold in mapcalc say .3cubic meters per second (arbitrary) to extract possible permanent streams. Does this make sense, or am I missing something. Thanks for all of your help, kind regards,
