Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble with r.to.vect in WinGrass 7 (SVN nightly winGRASS 7
experimental build downloaded on February 23 2013). For type='line' on thinned
raster maps of streams produced using r.watershed, it runs to completion but
the output data is meaningless. The command I used, and the output follows:

GRASS 7.0.svn> r.to.vect -v input=STREAMmap output=STREAMmap_vect type='line'

Any information on this problem would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hi everyone,

I've been using GRASS for a couple months now on a Windows platform. I use it
for hydrological modelling. I started with WinGrass 6.4.3RC2 and then decided
to try out WinGrass7 (SVN nightly winGRASS 7 experimental build downloaded on
February 23 2013)

r.watershed worked well in WinGrass 6.4.3RC2, but it seems to have the
following bugs in WinGrass 7. Any information on these bugs would be
appreciated:
1) output flow accumulation map is actually a drainage direction map
2) no output of flow accumulation map
(streams and basins output maps are fine)

The command I used is:
r.watershed -m elevation=DEMmap threshold=4000 accumulation=ACCmap
drainage=DRAINDIRmap basin=BASINmap stream=STREAMmap

And the output was:
SECTION 1 beginning: Initiating Variables. 5 sections total.
SECTION 1a: Mark masked and NULL cells
SECTION 1b: Determining Offmap Flow.
SECTION 2: A* Search.
SECTION 3a: Accumulating Surface Flow with MFD.
SECTION 3b: Adjusting drainage directions.
SECTION 4: Watershed determination.
SECTION 5: Closing Maps.
Closing stream segments map
Closing basins map
Closing accumulation map
Closing flow direction map
WARNING: category information for [DRAINDIRmap] in [HNK2] missing or invalid

Results: Basin and Stream maps are good. No drainage direction map was
output. The output flow accumulation map turned out to be a drainage direction
map.

Cheers,
Hanan
