problem merging lists the right way

Hi there

I have to lists:

ABCDE and 12345

I merge the lists using "merge02", and get a list saying ABCDE12345,,,

what I would like to have is a list saying A1B2C3D4E5, is that
possible??

I cant work it out.,,,, can you help me,,
