hi group,

i just had the chance to testdrive a brand new 3-axis router (isel
euromod 65).
the company was friendly enough to send me a 3d-model of the maschine.

what i am trying to do in GH:
1.) read in nc-code files
2.) route the x,y,z-coordinates to their destination, thereby ignoring
everything else in the file.

---------------------------------------------
where i could use some help:
1.) copy and paste to a panel works, of course. i took a brief look
into the "reading from excel" definition kindly provided by splash. i
am unfamiliar with vb.net. just changing to application to grab from
(replace "excel" with "editor") did not do the job. maybe someone can
give me a little hint here.

2.) (more important) the NC-code is basicly only a little bit more
than x,y,z-coordinates of where the tool should move to. this little
bit is stuff like the header, indices, feed rates, speeds, tool
changes, ...
is there a way to route the x,y,z-values to different pipelines?
probably using vb.net. i don't see a way doing this with the list
tools. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sample NC-code, containing x,y,z-values plus feed rates (e.g. F3000):
X-13.00 Y0.00 Z8.00 F3000
Z1.20 F1000
X-7.00 F1000
X-6.28 Y0.04 F1500
X-5.56 Y0.17
X-4.87 Y0.39
X-4.21 Y0.69
X-3.59 Y1.06

the definition so far:

BTW: it is hell of a fun to drive the maschine with grasshopper and
RhinoCAM. you can just have a new variation of your definition being
maschined in seconds ;-)

ps:
this a link to an older thread where i did a 5-axis animation:
