problem viewing examples

Looking over example files posted online I have run into a problem
several times.  When someone posts a link to an example file (ghx)  it
sends me to a page with a ton of code written on it.  Is this supposed
to happen?  Also, if I select save link... it saves as an xml.  Is
there a quick fix for this?
